Looking at some of the churches today, it is an embarrassment to see that money and power have become the dominating factors. If a minister has a gift or some “miraculous” power, our foolish and gullible brethren are willing to believe any rubbish that is preached. The Bible has been turned into a sort of board game. Games like Bingo, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the Weakest Link, and Monopoly are like the current themes of what church life has become. If the Bible is no longer our absolute authority for life and direction, then let us simply follow every available trend.

True Christians need to strip the idols from what should be Christ-centred Christianity. I believe that much incorrect understanding and thinking about the God of the Bible will result in wrongful worship. We need to bring people back to the fundamental truths—out of the serious misrepresentation of Christianity—in order to introduce them to true Christianity, which has the power to transform broken lives. I do not claim to be perfect or complete, for God knows that I’m anything but.

However, what I lack in the natural has been made perfect in Christ. Nevertheless, I believe that we are God’s ambassadors and we should represent the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, truly and faithfully. Failure in doing so means preaching another gospel.

As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:9)
