“Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil.” — C.S. Lewis.
At the heart of this pioneering work is Brendon Naicker, whose vision and dedication have propelled Theology School into its role as a beacon of theological support and education across the continent. Brendon’s mission is clear: to equip as many leaders as possible with sound doctrine and prepare them for eternal life, ensuring they stand firm in their faith and biblical understanding.
Theology School’s unique mission challenges the conventional pursuit of worldly validation through certificates and accolades. Instead, it prioritises developing disciples who are confident in their grasp of God’s Word and committed to sharing it faithfully. The goal is not to produce degrees, but devoted disciples—workmen who are unashamed and able to rightly handle the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). Operating independently of secular institutions, Theology School adopts a mentoring discipleship model that fosters growth through debate, discussion, and personal challenges, leading to profound spiritual transformation.
Emphasising solid doctrine and practical wisdom, Theology School empowers believers to engage deeply with the Scriptures, ensuring their impact goes far beyond the boundaries of the ministry organisation itself. The aim is that the effect on their lives shines brighter than any formal recognition, showcasing a faith rooted in true understanding and effective ministry.
Founded in 2005, Theology School has grown from a modest beginning into a significant resource for theological education and mentorship across Africa. Our journey began with developing written materials for a non-profit organization in South Africa, designed to assist pastors in managing church functions effectively.
Recognizing the need for additional resources, we expanded our services to include the provision of literature and clothing for those in remote areas of KwaZulu-Natal. This initiative was driven by our commitment to ensuring that even the most underserved communities could access the resources they needed for both spiritual and practical development.
Over time, Theology School evolved to offer seminary-level materials that catered to both pastors and laity. We embraced technology by providing online resources, which allowed for broader access to our content and extended our mission across borders.
Our core focus has remained consistent: equipping church members for effective mission work. Today, Theology School’s impact can be seen throughout nearly every African country, as we share theological resources and mentor programs freely and without restriction. Our philosophy emphasizes community and shared growth, encouraging participation without controls or charges.
