If scripture had revealed all of the attributes of God yet excluded grace, it would have been of no value to us. We need grace since we all are sinners. Grace is God’s unmerited goodness, for we are naturally under condemnation. The grace of God is sovereign grace, independent of human merit, it is common or general, it is special or particular, it is electing grace, it is redeeming grace.
